<p>It&#8217;s been a pretty hot summer here, so anything frozen is a welcomed refreshment. With the new season of Diablo underway, it was time to create a chilling dish that would combat the heat from the Burning Hells.</p>
<p>JUSTICE is best served cold! Right Tyrael?</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4062" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_tyrael.jpg" alt="blog_highheavenspops_tyrael" width="800" height="600" /></p>
<p>This recipe is pretty easy, so you&#8217;ll be able to whip it up between your rift runs! Plus, it&#8217;s got a little bit of booze in it. <img src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/simple-smile.png" alt=":)" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> A nice way to end summer with one last tropical cocktail!</p>
<p><b>UNIT COMPOSITION</b></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_ingredients.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4060" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_ingredients.jpg" alt="blog_highheavenspops_ingredients" width="800" height="900" /></a></strong></p>
<ol>
<li>2 oz of blue curacao</li>
<li>3 oz of rum</li>
<li>1 cup of pineapples, chopped</li>
<li>3 &#8211; 4 pineapple spears</li>
<li>1 can of coconut cream</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>BUILD ORDER</strong></p>
<p>Prep time for this recipe is about <strong>15 minutes</strong>. Chill time is about <strong>8 hours </strong>(~6 hours without alcohol). This will make about <strong>6 popsicles</strong>.</p>
<p>You will want a popsicle mold that has a removable shell. I&#8217;m using <a href="http://www.zokuhome.com/collections/all/products/classic-pop-molds">Zoku popsicle makers</a> for this. This can be done with a standard mold, but it may be a bit trickier!</p>
<p><strong>OPENING</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Take your pineapple spears and cut them into strips. The goal is to create rays of light similar to this:<br />
<a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_pineapple.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4058" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_pineapple.jpg" alt="blog_highheavenspops_pineapple" width="800" height="600" /></a></li>
<li>Once you&#8217;re happy with the shape and size of the pineapple rays, place them inside the popsicle mold.</li>
<li>Place the molds face down in the freezer and let the pineapple harden for about 5 minutes.</li>
<li>Any left over pineapple pieces from this process can be added into the next step!</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>MID GAME</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>While your pineapples are freezing, combine your pineapples, coconut cream, and rum in a blender.</li>
<li>Remove your molds from the freezer. Place the molds in their holder so they&#8217;re standing up straight.</li>
<li>Slowly pour in the mixture into each mold.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>LATE GAME</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Carefully pour blue curacao into each mold. Since the piña colada mixture is dense, the curacao should easily sit on top of it.</li>
<li>Using a chopstick or knife, gently poke the curacao into the piña colada mix. You&#8217;ll want to focus mainly on the edges of the popsicle mold in order to make the blue color more prominent. This is the same technique used for the <a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/diablo/burning-hells-popsicles-peach-old-fashioned-popsicles/">burning hells popsicles.</a></li>
<li>Return the popsicles to the freezer and allow it to chill for about 8 hours.</li>
<li>When the popsicles are ready, use warm water to help ease the popsicles out of their molds.</li>
<li>Eat!</li>
</ol>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4064" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_done1.jpg" alt="blog_highheavenspops_done1" width="800" height="600" /></p>
<p>Now you&#8217;ve got a cool treat worthy of the Angels. GG WP!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_done2.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4059" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/blog_highheavenspops_done2.jpg" alt="blog_highheavenspops_done2" width="800" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Now, get back to rifting! <img src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/simple-smile.png" alt=":)" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> See you in Sanctuary, Nephalem!</p>

<p>Growing up, I would play A LOT of N64 games. It was basically an after school ritual for me &#8212; I&#8217;d come home, eat a snack and then immediately become glued to the television and my console.</p>
<p>One of my favorite games is Super Smash Brothers. I would play hours on end and when I returned to school the next day, I&#8217;d jump into these deep discussions about why I thought Kirby was a really awesome character to play. I mean, c&#8217;mon, he basically can steal anyone&#8217;s special! Plus, that   ↓ special? HE TURNS INTO A ROCK TO CRUSH HIS ENEMIES!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3875" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Stone_SSBWU1.jpg" alt="Stone_SSBWU" width="640" height="360" /></p>
<p>Because I enjoyed playing Kirby so much in Smash, I eventually rented a copy of Kirby 64 from Blockbuster. Yeaaaah, that was quite a while ago.</p>
<p>Admittedly, I still don&#8217;t know what Kirby is. I just know that he&#8217;s a happy little dude who LOVES to eat. So, I&#8217;m sure he would appreciate having his imaged turned into a tasty popsicle!</p>
<p><b>UNIT COMPOS</b><b>ITION</b></p>
<p><a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_ingredients.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3865" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_ingredients.jpg" alt="blog_kirbypops_ingredients" width="800" height="1020" /></a></p>
<ol>
<li>1/2 cup of strawberries</li>
<li>1 1/2 cups of almond milk</li>
<li>1 scoop of <a href="http://www.questnutrition.com/protein-powders/banana-cream-2lb-canister/">Quest Banana Cream protein powder</a></li>
<li>1 scoop of <a href="http://www.questnutrition.com/protein-powders/strawberries-cream-2lb-canister/">Quest Strawberries &amp; Cream protein powder</a></li>
<li>2 tablespoons of white chocolate, melted</li>
<li>8 sliced almonds</li>
<li>a few drops of blue food dye</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>BUILD ORDER</strong></p>
<p>Prep time for this takes about<strong> 10 minutes</strong>. Chill time for this is about <strong>6 &#8211; 8 hours</strong>. Decorating time is about <strong>15 minutes</strong>. This makes <strong>4 servings</strong>.</p>
<p>Each serving contains: <strong>11g of Protein</strong>, <strong>1g of Fat</strong>, and <strong>1g of Net Carbs</strong></p>
<p>You will need a round ice popsicle maker for this recipe.</p>
<p><strong>OPENING</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Combine your protein powders with almond milk in a blender. It should have a fairly thick consistency (think pudding!).</li>
<li>Reserve two of your strawberries, and slice the rest. The remaining two will be used to make the mouth and the blush.</li>
<li>Add your sliced strawberries to your protein mix. Blend the strawberries into the mix.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>MID GAME</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Carefully pour the mixture into each popsicle mold.<br />
<a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_maker.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3864" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_maker.jpg" alt="blog_kirbypops_maker" width="800" height="600" /></a></li>
<li>Freeze for 6 &#8211; 8 hours.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>LATE GAME</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Heat your white chocolate until it melts. Carefully add 2 drops of blue food coloring. Stir the food coloring into the chocolate.</li>
<li>Dip the end of an almond slice into the white chocolate. This will create the blue part of Kirby&#8217;s eyes. Repeat this step for 7 more almond slices.</li>
<li>Let the chocolate on the almond dry.</li>
<li>Add more blue food coloring to the white chocolate. You&#8217;ll want the chocolate to be as dark as possible.</li>
<li>Using a toothpick or a chopstick, gently drizzle the dark chocolate above the blue part of the almond. Be sure to leave a white space at the top. Allow the chocolate to dry for about 5 minutes.</li>
<li>Remove your popsicles from the freezer and take them out from their molds.<br />
<a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_popmolds.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3869" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_popmolds.jpg" alt="blog_kirbypops_popmolds" width="800" height="549" /></a></li>
<li>Slice your strawberries and cut out shapes to create Kirby&#8217;s mouth (basically cut out a &#8220;D&#8221;) and blush.</li>
<li>Dampen the back of the almonds and strawberries with water. Then, lay your popsicle horizontally (I used a mug to hold up mine) and adhere the almonds and strawberries to the pops.</li>
<li>Place the popsicle back in the freezer for 2 minutes.</li>
<li>Remove from the freezer and eat!</li>
</ol>
<p>Ta-da! It&#8217;s KIRBY! GG WP. <img src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/simple-smile.png" alt=":)" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p>Now you&#8217;ve got this portable Kirby to nibble on during the warm summer days!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_done.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3866" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/blog_kirbypops_two.jpg" alt="blog_kirbypops_two" width="800" height="600" /></a></p>

<p>The weather has been heating up which means that summer is upon us! You know what will cool you down in the heat? POPSICLES!</p>
<p>So, I invited an honorable guest to help me create these frozen delicacies&#8230; And let me tell you, he sure knows a thing or two about how to deal with the heat!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3751" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog_burninghellspop_diablo.jpg" alt="blog_burninghellspop_diablo" width="800" height="600" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Tiny bourbon for a tiny Lord of Terror.</em></p>
<p>I imagine that it must get pretty damn hot in the Burning Hells, and I would think that Diablo likes to enjoy a good cocktail or two while he&#8217;s plotting the demise of the Nephalem. I always knew he was an <em>Old Fashioned</em> kind of demon.</p>
<p>For this recipe, instead of going with something spicy to burn your mouth , I decided to go with a different type of burn: BOOZE!</p>
<p><strong>UNIT COMPOSITION</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog_burninghellspop_ingredients.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3745" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog_burninghellspop_ingredients.jpg" alt="blog_burninghellspop_ingredients" width="800" height="600" /></a></p>
<ol>
<li>1 oz of bitters</li>
<li>3 oz of bourbon</li>
<li>1 cup of cherries, pitted</li>
<li>2 cups of orange juice</li>
<li>1 peach, chopped</li>
<li>OPTIONAL: sweetener of your choice*</li>
</ol>
<p>*These popsicles are a little bit on the tart side, if you want it to be sweeter, feel free to add 1/2 tablespoon to each of the mixtures before freezing.</p>
<p><strong>BUILD ORDER</strong></p>
<p>Total prep time for this recipe is about <strong>20 minutes</strong>. Total idle time is about<strong> 8 hours </strong>(or 5 &#8211; 6 hours if you make this without the alcohol).<br />
This makes about<strong> 6 popsicles</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>OPENING</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Combine your chopped peach and 1 cup of orange juice in a blender. Add in 1/2 of your bitters and bourbon.</li>
<li>Blend the mixture and set aside.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>MID GAME</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Combine your remaining orange juice, bourbon, bitters and cherries in a blender.</li>
<li>Blend the mixture and set aside. The cherry mixture should be less viscous than the peach mixture.</li>
</ol>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3749" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog_burninghellspop_mix.jpg" alt="blog_burninghellspop_mix" width="800" height="600" /></p>
<p><strong>LATE GAME</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Begin pouring in your orange and peach mixture into each popsicle mold. You&#8217;ll want to fill it up to 2/3 of the mold.</li>
<li>Top off each mold with the cherry mixture. Using a chopstick or knife, poke the cherry mixture into the peach mixture. This will cause the cherry color to bleed into the orange color.</li>
<li>Let chill for 8 hours.<img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3748" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog_burninghellspop_pops.jpg" alt="blog_burninghellspop_pops" width="800" height="600" /></li>
<li>Remove the popsicles from the mold.</li>
<li>Eat!</li>
</ol>
<p>GG WP!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3754" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog_burninghellspop_done.jpg" alt="blog_burninghellspop_done" width="800" height="600" /></p>
<p>Since this recipe does contain alcohol, I do recommend making these popsicles right before you sleep since alcohol takes a much longer time to freeze. As a result, they&#8217;ll also defrost faster once you take them out, so eat them quickly!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3747" src="http://www.eatgamelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog_burninghellspop_done1.jpg" alt="blog_burninghellspop_done1" width="800" height="600" /></p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t like alcohol, or if you want to make this kid-friendly, this recipe works great without the bourbon and bitters. You&#8217;ll just need to add a little bit more orange juice.</p>
<p>Now, go forth and enjoy the warm weather, Nephalem!</p>
